Skyy was a rescue dog. He was severly emaciated & he had a pretty rough start in life. We were lucky enough to be able to adopt him when he was about 9 mos old. He was quite the character! He honestly thought he was a 75 lbs lap dog! He was full of life & energy & he loved to play. He would tunnel through the snow & chase our kids. He would pull them on their sleds & bounce thru the snow like a rabbit in the winter. He was a protector, a clown, and was our friend. Unfortunately, when he was 7 yrs old Skyy developed cancer in his shoulder area & because it had already made it’s way to the nerve bundle there was no treatment, only pain control. Skyy lived a lot longer & fought much harder that anyone expected. When it became clear that he was ready, he died with dignity & in our arms at home. I thank the Lord everyday for Home to Heaven & the services they provided to our family. We still have Skyy paw print with his pictures at home for everyone to see. He is forever in our hearts.
